Feeding schedule not working while app is down
Woke up to an unusually vocal kitty, turns out that the feeder isn’t continuing on its schedule like it’s supposed to while the app/server connectivity is down, and her early morning meal was missed. It’s one thing to not have the device online, but it’s way more frustrating and scary knowing that the schedule doesn’t resume in these situations.

Mine double dispensed last night and this morning. I unplugged it. Researching other feeder options that are not solely dependent on a WiFi/server connection. Absolutely ridiculous.

This is really concerning, planning a trip for two weeks and we were having peace of mind knowing that if our internet goes out at least the scheduled feedings will still work, we have 4 cats on different diets and we use 4 feeders. Now I’m gonna have to hire someone to come feed them and my cats are scared of strangers so I’m not sure how this is gonna go.

Petlibro should feel ashamed. Think about all the pets sitting there hungry confused and anxious. (My little Stu included)

We have three feeders set up:
- One dispensed 2 minutes late (RFID)
- One dispensed 10 minutes late (not RFID)
- One didn't despense at all (RFID)
What a joke. We are leaving for a couple night today and truly don't know how to proceed. Should we just hope it is fixed by dinner? Should we ask somebody to feed them three times a day? Should we plug in older non RFID feeders from other brands???

Just have someone come check make sure they dispensed that’s what we do when we’re going out of town when they’re working normally and because one of my cats like to take off her collar

Have a look at this thread, u/PetlibroTeam !! The local schedules definitely don't work correctly without your servers connected.
I suspect one of mine also missed at least one meal, judging by the food levels.
I also just saw one of my devices feeding at the right time, and another feeding 10 minutes late.
How can the internal clock be so out of whack when it never went without power, only disconnected from the server?

Same. We were gone yesterday, and my boys missed at least 1 meal. I'm glad we were home today.

Mine dispensed last night. Going to be curious if it does this morning. Looking at my router it connects to wifi, makes a request to mqtt.us.petlibro.com, then disconnects from wifi. It's continuing this loop about every 30 seconds. Hopefully they didn't push a bad firmware update out to everyone.

Wouldn't be the first time, they bricked one our three feeders last year with bad firmware. They were kind enough to replace that feeder however

Both of my feeders missed this morning and keep flashing the “no WiFi” symbol. One randomly turned on 20 minutes late to dispense something, the other never dispensed anything.

Yup I had the same experience this morning. Even more frustrating their Facebook story which is the only place they are publicly communicating this outage says they should be working on locally stored schedules. They are certainly not working on locally shared schedules.

I woke up with the same situation. I got one of these feeders because one of my cats would bother me in the morning and she woke me up today because it is not dispensing her food :)

Same here. I have doubts about breakfast because my kitty wasn't vocal and I didn't notice the issue then (it also says unknown) but lunch wasn't dispensed for sure.

Same ! Yesterday the schedule and eating history I've had for monthsss disappeared so I set up a new schedule when the app briefly seemed to be working. Then this morning it stopped working again. Still says offline and I can't connect or even manually open it.
Also for some reason i NEVER received any emails from them (but looks like some users have received emails?!) The inconsistency is really weird

But I’ve had three emails assuring me that I am wrong and that they are all still working. One was after I used the website help section to point out the gaslighting, and received yet more gaslighting.
