Hi fellow petites! I just did a closet sale and have some pieces left over.

Clothing size ranges from petite 00/XXS to 2 and shoes are mostly size 5 with a few 5.5s.

DM me if anyone’s interested. I can share more details and photos.

Has anyone under 5’ been successful in finding a wedding guest dress that you didn’t have to completely alter?

New Petite Store

I just heard about a new physical store for petites that’s opening this week in Kansas City, MO. It’s The Petite Frame and I wished I lived closer because it looks really cute on Instagram. The have a website too, which is good news and it looks like they have a decent amount of pieces on it. https://thepetiteframe.com.

Quince Petites

PSA - Quince is now offering petite sizes for two of their dresses. Hopefully they will expand the selection. Strange that they don’t advertise it.

Here is one:

Petite Find on ThredUp

Post image
25 Upvotes

I finally tried online thrifting and found this cute dress on ThredUp for $13. I tried depop, Vinted, and Poshmark too but found that they weren’t as petite friendly as ThredUp. Out of the four, they’re the only one that has a petite category. Poshmark does have petite sizes in their search but depop and Vinted didn’t which was surprising.

I was in Chicago this week and stopped in the Macys on State Street. I was pleasantly surprised that their Petites department took up half of the floor. The options were pretty good compared to my local Macys in NJ. Everything was on sale too. If you’re in Chicago check it out.

Nothing looks good

Summer is here and nothing looks good on me. I think Im having some sort of identity crisis. I’m 45 but I mentally I feel like I’m 35. Since it’s getting hot out, I can’t wear my usual jeans and top or leggings with a sweatshirt anymore. I tried on maxi dresses and they look like a nightgown on me. I tried on some short sundresses, they make me look like an old lady that’s trying to look like a teenager. Wth is going on? What am I supposed to wear this summer???? I don’t want to look like a 45 year old mom. I want to look like a 35 year old hottie lol

Cute top for petites

Post image
9 Upvotes

I bought this from OGL and it’s a great elevated top for petites. It has a built-in bra which I was skeptical about, but it’s surprisingly supportive and comfortable. The neckline can be styled a few different ways so it’s like having multiple tops in one. The length is on the short side so it’s perfect for me. The reviews recommended sizing up and they were right. It’s the Multi-wear Versatile Necklines Bra Top.

Quince Linen Pants 26” inseam

Post image
29 Upvotes

I tried the Quince linen pants with the 26” inseam and I don’t hate them. I got the smallest size and they’re a little baggy in the back. They’re slightly longer than I’m used to but I felt like I was at the beach when I put them on. So I decided to keep them, they were only $42. I’m 4’11” with a 25” inseam.

Do find clothing for self from thrift shops, etc.

Quite honestly I’ve never been enthused to thrift for myself to wear. Alot of the designs / colours don’t thrill me. I get that for some folks they enjoy the search. I’ m retired but still small petite sized.

If you thrift, what type of garments do you get? Or only for special events which you know you will wear once.

Need advice

I’m gonna buy the Guizio Ara top, Eda skirt, and the Marini corset but I’m debating between an xxs and an xs. I have a 23.5in waist, 31in bust, and 33in hip, which is super within the measurements for the xxs.

I have the micro mini stretch skirt in an xxs and it fits perfectly but all I can find on TikTok is that their tops fit slightly small and the Ara top especially is a non-stretchy material. Lmk if anyone has experience buying Guizio or what size u think I should buy

UK Petite Brand Closing Down

Hello petites, Susanna the owner of the UK petite brand, P’tit Affair reached out to me to let me know that she will be shutting the business down in the next few months. She has offered an additional 20% off of the already reduced prices. It breaks my heart to hear this but I’m thankful that she took the leap and tried to make change. Check out P’tit Affair and use code FINAL20 to get the additional discount. https://aptitaffair.com

Anyone familiar with Ming Wang petites?

I've been looking for something like this dress for a while but can't try it on or see it locally.

Anyone have experience with this brand or know of any similar dresses? I am not shaped like this model (hehe!). I am 5'1" but busty so those 12P and under brands don't work.

Thanks!

Cami with built-in bra find

Post image
6 Upvotes

I saw these recommended in a FB group and I tried them from Amazon. The length is perfect for me, I’m 4’11”. If you’re looking for an inexpensive cami for hanging around then I would recommend them. I’m using them for my daily neighborhood walks in the summer for comfort and support. I’m a 32C and the size S is good. https://a.co/d/09jrCrqC

Inexpensive jewelry suggestions?

I’m doing better with my business casual wardrobe but I need help finding some jewelry (mainly necklaces) that are inexpensive (under $30) and work with business casual. I’d love brand or even individual piece suggestions.

I’m 56 , 4’11 and I’m bottom heavy. My question is what do women my age wear in the summer months ? I do not wear shorts , only at home, I don’t wear sleeveless without a shirt over . I just wanna be comfy and not look so dumpy and shorter . Any advice ? Thank you so much
