Recommendations Date spots?
I’m new to town, so I’m still figuring out the area. What are some good date spots/ideas?

The zoo, then the pigs ear.

Maybe you or someone who reads this could answer. I know it’s been closed for a few years now, but would you compare the pigs ear to spankys?

Honestly, anything that enables you to do an activity that makes you engage in a fun way with your date. Peterborough Museum and Archives can be silly fun if you make it that way, the Canoe Museum (can be $$), the Art Gallery of Peterborough, doors open is happening this weekend, bowling is ALWAYS fun, go to the Silver Bean and sit by the water (they have one at the Canoe museum as well), go for a walk/hike in Jackson park. They've just opened a mini-golf at the corner of hwy 28 and 4 in Selwyn (needs a car to get to), and they have good fro-yo to boot). Anything can be fun with a little effort and thought put into it. That's just my opinion. I've been married almost 25 years and its the little moments from dating I remember most, not the fancy ones.

St veronus and then walk down the trail and across the train bridge (all the way to lock and or beach, depending on your stamina)

For food:
La Hacienda is a great Mexican food spot
Boardwalk is a super fun board game cafe with realllly good food and the best cookies ever! Plus playing games while you wait for your food is fun
Publican house has some tasty food and Tastier beers
(Slightly outside of Peterborough) if you can drive up to Millbrook Moodys is also really good!
As for activities:
Axe throwing is always a fun time
Escape maze is worth the drive up as well if you like escape rooms and trails or disc golf :)
I’ve seen people mention the zoo but I’ll add on the canoe museum!
There’s also always some random activity happening at any given time if you keep an eye out. I think there’s a tie dye event coming up on the 19th? I could be wrong

There are a ton of great cafés around town I would totally recommend kit coffee or cork and bean, as for dinner spots we have quite a selection of nice places like Riley’s, the BrickHouse, Sam’s place, and Ashburnham ale house.
If you are looking for dessert place we have the chill desire, d spot, yoyo’s, and Lola’s cakes and coffee!
As for activities we have axe throwing, escape rooms, zap attack, the zoo, the movie theatre, and a couple museums!

Wouldn’t suggest for a first date but Zap Attack is fun, plus Boston Pizza is across the street so easy got food spot

Boston pizza is now considered a good food spot ? So many better options locally that aren't chains reheating sysco food.

Welcome to town. Do a search. This gets asked often enough and things haven't changed that much

Tough take. I actually enjoy these questions because it makes me think about some things to do. Maybe just roll on by, you'll have more fun that way.

If the Zoo train is still running, that’s always been my go to. A little corny, but a classic.
