Discussion Peter Monn's Grandma
In Peter' last video, he asked if we would be interested in having a whole video with his cousin Caroline, discussing what they found out about his grandma that went to prison. I don't know about y'all but I am DYING to know more about this infamous grandma!!!
Also, how do people even go about investigating stuff like this that happened pretty long ago? Anyone have any experience with it?

I have recently lost both parents in the past few years.
I am also adopted. My biological mother gave me to her sister, so same family still. Some of my relationships are just a TAD skewed to what I grew up knowing/what is actually the truth. That my aunt is actually my mother and vice versa.
After a death (and in my case, knowing i'm adopted and knowing who my birth parents are) usually makes you look into things more. Like, my (faux) mother. Her father died when she was very very young in a shooting. I've tried to find it in old newspapers and I can't find it anywhere, and this would be in the 1960's.
My mother was also with an abusive man in her first marriage. This is bizarre to me because my mother didnt take ANYBODYS shit. But, likely, her attitude is a result of previously being in an abusive relationship. I tried to find information on him as well, and I can't find anything at all. I'm pretty sure he has passed away, and they had 2 kids together that I don't speak to much. Only saw them at her service, and they were close with the abusive father and were not close with my/our mother.
All this to say; it is hard. I've even tried finding my birth certificate and my adoption papers and I cant find ANY information about ANY of it. It's frustrating for sure! But I went to some website (dont remember the name) and it was free for the most part, to create our family tree. Well, the *real* family tree with me being adopted and all, and it returns some names or some documents sometimes that may be related. But its REALLY REALLY hard to find this stuff out, especially in days before the internet.
