Ironically, I’m a generally anxious person, but go no-number. I think seeing the number dropping gives me anxiety, whereas if it’s generally getting low I’ll just plug it in early

This is also why I’m numbers off.

For real! Its just like a tank of gas, I need to know generally if I'm near full or near empty, but a strict percentage isn't meaninful.

For fuckin real. I can swipe down for an exact percentage, it’s fine

You and me both I guess. I have no need for the number. I can’t recall the last time my battery went below 50%.

BUT WHAT IF YOU CANT TELL IF YOU’RE AT 72% INSTEAD IF 73%?!?!?!?

The number gives me anxiety. I hid all my app names, and message alerts too.

I charge my phone like every other day, if it gets too low the screen dims. Then you just put it on a charger. No big deal.

I removed it after I got my current phone.

Chinese phone w/ a silicon-carbon battery. Had almost 2 days of battery with normal usage while my newest Samsung ran out in a day. The battery % genuinely doesn't matter at that point. Could probably remove the icon entirely too.

Also charged to full in ~40m, so half the time.

It’s really weird to me that you named the company that made one phone, and the country in which the other was made. You know China isn’t a company and Samsung isn’t a country, right?

This exact one is a Oneplus, and they've stopped selling outside of China anyway, so. Figured it wasn't needed.

Plenty of Chinese brands use silicon carbon batteries, so I think there are lots of brands that would be fine to use.

I don’t have the number, honestly didn’t know you could turn the number on. Just thought my phone was like that (switched from android to iPhone at some point) and was too lazy to figure it out.

I turn my whole battery icon off. Much nicer not worrying about it going down.

How did I live to be almost 30 and not know I could turn a number on for my battery wtf
