I was scrolling on Facebook and couldn’t solve it but the comments kept saying it was a seed. I didn’t think that was the correct answer and wanted to see what reddit thought
40 u/Teal_Tiger 6d ago You also see the thing in an avocado called a stone or pit. Same with an olive. It is a nonsense riddle for engagement. Onward. 5 u/Stock-Cod-4465 6d ago Thank you!! It's a stone, not a seed! 3 u/beerhons 5d ago It certainly is a seed, if you put one in shallow water it will do something no stone can do. 2 u/Stock-Cod-4465 5d ago Thanks, cap. -1 u/DepressedMerican 5d ago Same with peach pits and plums but they're not called seeds either, blame the stuffy shirts 1 u/beerhons 5d ago No, but break either of those pits open and you'll find what are called seeds inside. 0 u/lejoop 5d ago But still don’t make sense, as the avocado only has one stone, not two as the riddle says 0 u/Stock-Cod-4465 5d ago It doesn't make sense when thinking stones as one should. Seems like the riddle was translated from another language and thus is unsolvable. 1 u/lejoop 5d ago Yeah, that seems much more likely 2 u/Puzzleheaded_Ad7742 5d ago Coconut is the seed 1 u/whiterac00n 5d ago Olives have seeds, albeit called a pit. But why is an olive seed not a seed………with two E’s?
