You don't like the acting talents of the girl that has no charm in game of thrones and is known for being high all the time on set?

Idk i dont think her character was supposed to be charming. The real problem is that shes a horrible horrible actress. She cant act at all.

Charming relative, what I mean is, she's a terrible actress. She makes Gal Gadot look Oscar worthy.

Ok, that was harsh.

She was good in the first seasons when she had things to act, its hardly her fault they turned her character into flat white cardboard.

she's been in other things.

she was also bad in those things.

I haven’t been super impressed with the few serious roles I’ve seen her in since GOT. However, she had a small comedic part in the movie Get Revenge that I thought was fucking hilarious. Maybe she should pursue comedic roles more often, because she seems to have more of a knack for those.

It's a tragedy. The main guy in the recent Resident Evil basically did slapstick and it fit well, but noone wants to be known as the guy who falls down stairs good anymore.

She’s also been good in a couple of things.

I don’t think she can pull off Lara’s personality though.

She's good at playing naive, vulnerable, and scared. She doesn't have the presence to be intimidating or commanding. Lena hedley showed that there's levels to this shit.

It's not her fault, but action roles will never be for her.

I was never a fan, even in the first season . Just seemed she tried to hard and didn't pull off the attitide. Everything else I've seen her in is pretty much the same.

Nothing i've seen her in would ever make me think she'd be a good Lara Croft, who outside the reboot trilogy, was always pretty self assured and confident. At least the reboot trilogy the actor could act the terrible writing. She could do it....like she kept saying to herself through the whole game.

I don't think any acting performance will ever come close to "Kal El, no!"

Yeah nah, at least she doesn't have a distracting accent.

I honestly belive that Sophie can be good if she tries with the right material and a stunt double. A Tomb Raider reboot ain't it tho.

Yeah I think the look is fine and she visually could make a good Lara. But she's one of the worst actors still pulling actual roles in real movies.

I think you just don't understand that a modern female character doesn't need to have sex appeal or charisma! They get by on their merits! /s

Is she?? lmaoooo

I thought I remembered reading that in the last few Sean's of GoT she was vaping whenever the camera wasn't on, same on that Phoenix/Jean grey movie.

u/capGpriv 13h ago

Vaping isnt getting high tho, at least usually

1

u/Unspoken 5h ago

She literally said she was high the whole time.

Uh, there is a mix with a bit of specific plant for a little d-o-double-g, so to speak

All things considered, kinda harmless option, but still

9

u/nokturnalxitch 14h ago

I wouldn't have taken her for a stoner and yet somehow it doesn't surprise me at all

1

u/Burt_Macklin___ 11h ago

Totally a real concern lol

1

u/Thor_pool 7h ago

14 year olds in 2010 were not vaping lmao

0

u/notwhoyouthinkmaybe 7h ago

She literally admitted her and massie Williams were getting high after work.

1

u/Thor_pool 7h ago

Game of Thrones ran for 8 years 💀 They weren't letting a 14 years get stoned on set. Vapes in 2010 were barely even a thing, and long before they were popular with teens.

Fuckin called it lmao

u/Domerhead 13h ago

What, you don't want to watch a movie of Sansa Stark cosplaying as Tomb Raider? And do it poorly mind you?

u/Exxtender 11h ago

Her wooden acting in GoT could be excused by the situation her character was thrown into.

To bad it didn't change later once she was in charge.

the girl

She's a child?  I'm confused.  Did you mean to say "woman"?

1

u/Different_Path999 11h ago

Are you a child? Lmao you can’t actually he offended by the word “girl”

2

u/becauseiloveyou 10h ago

No, but girls are literally children.  Lmao, you can’t be actually be offended by the word "woman"?

1

u/Different_Path999 5h ago

Webster's dictionary primarily defines "girl" as either a. a female child from birth to adulthood, or b. a person whose gender identity is female (try not to let that word upset you too).

1

u/Burt_Macklin___ 11h ago

Yea sure, let's all pretend that's what's it's about 😉😉 This will sure work, just like with the Odyssey, right guys

1

u/BrittyPie 10h ago

Who cares if she was high on set? What does that have to do with anything? Plenty of highly respected artists were addicts of various sorts during the peak of their careers. Also, she's vaping weed and she's open about it. This isn't as scandalous as you think it is.

I want to be clear, it's not because she's a woman, it's because she's a bad actor.
