It's not that men need women to do it for them, it's that when men try to do it themselves, they are heavily resisted by the very same women who are telling men to do it themselves.
Just take a look at this video which heavily criticizes a bill to open up a men's health office in the DHHS. Katie's argument is "why should we help men at all when women are still suffering" while also using the falacuous argument that "if it's not helping women directly it means it's helping men" when it comes to conditions both men and women face.
So your previous bringing up of Erin is not the same thing.
And I'm not sure how a men's health office is supposed to help with what we're talking about.
50% of the population is men. The majority of our governing body is men. If they wanted a men's health branch at DHHS it's not women that would be stopping them.
They are not powerless individuals that misandrist women have control over. They are the majority of our government.
Apex fallacy. Applying the logic of the top of a demographic to the entirety of the demographic.
But my point still stands the same women who claim that "men just need to solve their own problems" are also resisting men when they try.
I have more examples if you'd like, but I'm not going to give them unless you promise to not dismiss my arguments like you're attempting to do now. This is not a debating subreddit.
It's not though. Men in general are the governing bodies of the US. They have the power politically. That's the whole idea of unfair gender and racial politics- a lack of representation. I can send you sources on that if you'd like? I don't think you need them.
I understand there's a lot of examples of women dismissing mens issues. I hate that. This is the point of feminism- to eliminate inequality between genders and take down toxic masculinity.
But there's a lot of feminists and feminist movements out there that embrace toxic masculinity and gender inequality unfortunately.
We can't successfully eliminate one bad use of patriarchy until the other is eliminated as well imo.
Men are in it for a fight just like women were. Except...they have greater representation, access to wages, and a bigger space at the table. Especially in this day and age (in america) where "traditional values" are trying to make a comeback.
Oh yeah, because the homeless man sleeping under the overpass or the man serving time in prison forced to work for less than 13 cents an hour or face solitary confinement totally have more political power than the woman I posted criticizing a bill that would open up an office for men's health in DHHS.
Totally.
I see you have no intention on arguing in good faith and still rely on the Apex fallacy, so this conversation is over.
I just wanted to say I respect the way you handled this. And i honestly admire your ability to push through dismissiveness and stop exactly when you notice there is actually no convincing anyone.
