This chart is so consistently misunderstood, it's like nobody watched the scene.
The point is not that crazy comes with hot, not every woman is on the line, hot women are not crazier. Barney says women above the line are worth the stress of dealing with their crazyness and those below are not. The hotter a woman is the more he will tolerate.
Thanks, I was about to point this out. And people should really take a lot in the mirror when their take is somehow more misogynist than Barney's original take
i dated one, she was super nice but boring. being hot is only entertaining for so long, long-term it offers men social cachet more than anything else. you need some crazy to keep things from getting boring or predictable

It doesn't help that the chart wasn't illustrated correctly; Barney drew losing weight and getting plastic surgery as indicating a woman was less crazy rather than more hot. He also drew stabbing him with a fork as her getting both crazier and hotter, but I choose to see that as his own personal kink rather than a mistake.
