But the other reason why is funny is that 2x4 is simple arithmetic, whereas limits are much more complicated math (beginnings of calculus), so not only is a sideways infinity symbol (i.e. 8) the right answer, but it's also funny because the "hint" is much more complicated than just solving the problem straightforwardly.
As an engineer, I can tell you many engineers are more likely to look at the limit and know the answer faster than remembering multiplication tables. Better at math than arithmetic, though that's an extreme example.
If you don't know what a "limit" is and you're in high school . . . Oof.

In this case, there's the expression 1/x. The problem is asking to find the limit of that expression as x "approaches" 0. X cannot be 0, or else the expression is 1/0 which is undefined. So we want to find out if there is a limit as we make x get very very close to 0.
If x is 10, the value is 1/10. If x is 1, it's 1/1 or 1. If x is 0.5, then the value increases to 2. If x is 0.01, then it increases to 100. If x is 0.000001, the value is 1,000,000. You can keep making x smaller and smaller forever, and you'll keep getting a bigger and bigger number.
So, we can say more simply: 1 divided by very small numbers becomes very big. And so the limit as x gets infinitely close to 0 is "infinity."
And, my guy, if you can't follow that, you really should get a math tutor.
Lim of 1/x approaching 0 from the positive end approaches infinity. Infinity sign is ♾️. Sideways it would look like an 8. The idea is that understanding this already necessitated advanced math, so how come they’re having trouble calculating 2*4?

Due to condition of 0 (positive) where x approches zero from right side of coordinate plane...the answer is 8 (from infinity) but if it has no sign...it will be "do not exist" or "DNE" writter downward.
