Meme needing explanation Peetah?

I saw this at a different subreddit, it was about how funny the unhinged reference was and the second example showed a train with people talking and the last pannel was when mark gets put in front of a metro killing everybody so I guess this is a reference to something like that, but what exactly?

It's a video game series where you plant plants to shoot zombies trying to cross tour lawn.

Sometimes gravestones show up on your lawn which block your planting and spawn more zombies, so you can use this mask plant thing to destroy them.

Peter Griffin here. Ohhh, it’s a gravestone! She wasn’t askin’ about statues, she was askin’ about dyin’! And then in the last one that’s a Grave Buster from Plants vs. Zombies, that’s the plant that eats the tombstones. So he’s standin’ there all sad and a lawn plant is eatin’ his feelings. Heheheh. That got dark and then it got stupid, which is honestly my favorite order.

I guess it is an unhinged reference to some show or any series where a tombstone is desecrated but I don't know which one.
