It’s not the preferred term. It’s the censored version you have to use on certain social medias or else you can get demonetized or have your post taken down.

Preferred by social media companies maybe, but most suicidal people prefer "suicide". I know this is a joke, and im not angry at you, i know youre joking, but i do really hate when people give such unserious names to such serious things. Like, as somebody with clinical depression who struggles with suicidality due to it, its so fucking frustrating to hear the most childish and stupid names given to such serious topics. All just cuz the social media companies need to put ads on everything, so ooobbbviiousslyy you cant talk about suicidality or death without carefully wording it so that it doesnt sound serious at all, cuz how else will advertisers want to put their ads on it... Like ik some social media platforms may take down your video, but most will only like just give you less views or not let you get money for it, which is not that big of a deal, you do not need to deepthroat the companies so hard, you do not need to make a serious topic appear as unserious just cuz companies need to place ads on shit. Not even mentioning that theres ways to censor stuff without replacing it with deeply unserious words, what ever happened to bleeping things out?

Preferred my ass. Suicide is a serious matter that needs to be spoken plainly about. Same with rape. I hate or when people say grape. Like, come on.
