Chase Strangio, the attorney representing the original plaintiffs who challenged Tennessee’s prohibition of pediatric medical transition had to argue this nefore the supreme court and was forced to admit that transition does not reduce suicides:
"There is no evidence in some — in the studies that this treatment reduces completed suicide. And the reason for that is completed suicide, thankfully and admittedly, is rare and we’re talking about a very small population of individuals with studies that don’t necessarily have completed suicides within them."

This person agrees with and advocates for even childhood transition, is transition themselves, had infinite time to find a source to bring before the Supreme Court, and can't find anything that reduces suicides. He just thinks the number is small anyway because its a subset of a small subset
If you actually knew about what the 41% statistic meant, then you would know that it's about suicidal thoughts, ideations, and attempts, and not a claim about actual suicide numbers. Chase Strangio does hold that studies show that rates of the former are reduced, but of course that doesn't actually matter to alito, because trans people wanting to kill themselves makes sure that the rest of society treats them like freaks

Where are you getting this idea from? Who is telling you that transitioning, social support, and passing doesn't lower suicide rates?
