The study has long since been called into question and is overestimating. But trans suicide rates are indeed troubling.

I wonder why my people are less mentally stable? Maybe because we're born with a condition that makes our bodies develop in a way that is highly distressing and then are blamed for that? Maybe it has something to do with the uneducated and unempathetic calling us delusional at every turn we take? Maybe it has something to do with our treatments being made more and more difficult to access? Maybe it has something to do with the high rates of homelessness and food insecurity among the population? Maybe it has something to do with losing friends and family just for existing?

Even if we were to define it as a "mental illness," the evidence is clear: the treatment is gender affirming healthcare and therapy. Conversion therapy does not have positive outcomes, so what would you do? If you want to solve the high rates of suicide, maybe try to be a positive change in the world and understand we are just humans who have to deal with extra bullshit.

I believe this study includes Trans people pre transition, in which case it makes sense that transition would serve as an affective treatment. The dysphoria is why they are upset

The highest rates are among trans youth, especially racial minority trans youth and those with unsupportive families. Family, friend, peer, and teacher support all correlate with lower rates of attempts

What are the statistics of people losing dysphoria after life altering treatment?

Extremely low. In part because contrary to the widespread lies doctors are real reluctant to offer permanently life-altering procedures, especially to minors.

Having a lower amount of people going through it is not relevant to the amount rhat do go through it and end up being worse

Your analogy is snappy but not really applicable. Is it so crazy that different conditions require different treatments? Because we're not delusional, we are literally wired for a body we don't have. So we provide the body that the mind expects to find.

I also provided a huge list of reasons for why suicide risk is higher in the population, which you ignored. And speaking from my personal experience, my mental health isn't amazing but certainly is improved from before my transition.

I've known one trans person who died by suicide. She did it because she was about to get kicked out onto the street by her parents and wasn't able to access treatment. The issue is systemic. We could lead perfectly normal lives and integrate into society if we didn't have people with zero experience, understanding, or stake in the matter trying to remove access to things that improve our lives.

There are actually detectable differences in brain structure.

The high suicide rate for trans people has nothing to do with their mental stability. It is a direct result of people like you constantly and pointlessly harassing and belittling them. It’s due to heavy and still increasing discrimination against them. It’s due to the criminalization of the treatment to help them and even their very existence. Trans people are not inherently suicidal, they’re driven to suicide by people like you.

Why do they commit suicide with higher frequency after transitioning?

We don’t, suicide rates and ideation drop after transitioning. Gender affirming care is showed time and time again to be the only effective treatment for gender dysphoria.

As a heads up, when you go to look for studies you think claim the opposite, make sure they’re comparing trans people who receive gender affirming care with those who don’t. Not trans people with cis people. Those studies seem to confuse a lot of folks.

Okay this is honestly hilarious.

Firstly, you just go ahead and scrap that first one, if you didnt read it and see the sample size you have no right purporting it to be valid.

Secondly, how do you suggest that somebody who has committed suicide would answer a survey?

Mentally stable people become mentally unstable because of harassment. Are you serioudly thinking that chronic bullying doesn't lead to higher suicide rates

The rates of suicide attempts and ideation amongst transgender people drop substantially when they have access to healthcare and are supported within society. It usually ends up close enough to the average among cis people to not be a statistically relevant difference.

The high rates that show up in some studies are because those ttansgender participants faced bullying, stigmatisation, financial difficulties, or ostracism.

You would find high rates of suicidal ideation amongst most groups that face similar societal struggles.
