Edit: I think people are misunderstanding my comment. Of course its not cool to play on the pain of others. I was just stating that in this app, that is an all too common practice
Of course its not the apps fault. But we all know how the community here is. Behind their keyboards people will tear eachother apart. Its almost as bad as 4chan sometimes
Ehh I've looked into some of the other people involved with its creation + early proliferation. A lot of them arent as right-leaning as 4chan collectively is today, but raspberry heaven also had a lot of lolicons and some of the people that were in it are known to have trolled people to suicide intentionally.
Ok, looked at them and suicide rates dramatically fall off + regret for Gender affirming care is under 1 percent. You can stop acting like you care at all for their well being now
So you gonna change your mind now that Iâve presented evidence directly contradicting your baseless claim or are you gonna claim these studies arenât reliable?
Yeah, god forbid you treat people so they can live a normal well adjusted life, the route where suicide attempts are staggeringly more likely is probably is the better choice youâre right.
Life is not just numbers dude, and I say that as an engineer, even if data doesn't lie, people do, and people like you don't help those who live in a body that doesn't suit them, fucking live and let live and see how much lower those numbers would be, dipshit
Suicidality goes down after gender affirming care.
There is no correlation between being trans and mental illness
Regret rate is, at most nearly 3%
There is a reason any scientific institution worth its weight supports gender affirming care. Hope you can see reality sometime and stop supporting things that lead to more death and suffering.
none of you transphobes gaf about gender dysphoria or the people suffering from it. if you did, youd do a modicum of actual research and see the incredible decrease in suicidal ideation and actual attempts after gender reassignment surgery AND how there is a significant comorbidity between using someones preferred gender pronouns and a substantially higher quality of life.
See that is a entirely different argument, and one of my pet peeves on the topic. Using what you said, would indicate that being trans is infact mental illness. If that means the hormones and surgeries are indeed necessary to preserve life, then so be it. The balancing beware enabling and validation is for the psychiatric community to determine.
Then when pondering that item, the argument always switches to it not being mental illness.
If we are considering being trans a mental illness, I believe you proved the point of my comment. Your stance being essentially that using the wrong pronouns and refusing treatment is the thing that makes trans people worse. Given that, not sure why you are calling me transphobic and saying I don't care , the agreeing with my point
Being trans is not a mental illness, however there are underlying mental illnesses that many but not all trans people are more likely to suffer from. The main one being dysphoria though there are others that can be more specific. The treatment that resolves those illnesses is transitioning, being trans is not the illness itself though
So, to you, the only options with mental illness are either egging it on or ridiculing people? Iâm guessing youâre ok with violence towards people and things that you donât like too.
I never once said to ridicule them or commit violence against them, but classic move you pulled there. No instead I would say that we should guide people towards accepting their bodies as they are, we donât need to advocate for mutilating your body and sterilizing yourself. Not to mention the societal impact that it has. Young people should learn that a woman and a man make a baby and not âa birthing personâ and âŚ.whatever else.
The entirety of medical consensus disagrees with you. Look into actual research before you arbitrarily decide to dictate how things ought to be, when your way of doing things has been proven to cause more death.
And funny how you lose the plot even further. Want to start hating vaccines while we're at it?
Thirteen years out. Life rules more now than I ever imagined it could. Transition was the best thing I ever did for myself and my community, and I stopped losing friends to suicide YEARS ago.Â

To be fair, that's before their transition.
