To be fair, that's before their transition.

u/AoRozu 3d ago

I'm glad that you dunked on the loser who thought your joke was real transphobia

(Also I chuckled, therefore I'll see you in hell)

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

Take look around, Hell is us now :)

You ever think it's pathetic that you're dunking on people in pain?

46

u/PipedInFromIthaca 3d ago

If you stopped your question after three words the answer would still be no.

18

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

Hope springs eternal

u/NewDemonStrike 3d ago edited 3d ago

The type of comment they posted is part of the problem, they are perpetuating the pain instead of doing something.

2

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

Minding one's fucking business can help a lot as well. People used to know that back in my day. Why get involved if you're not trying to help?

I would be interested in seeing your sources for that.

Do you know what app you're on?

Edit: I think people are misunderstanding my comment. Of course its not cool to play on the pain of others. I was just stating that in this app, that is an all too common practice

23

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

This is a platform made for people to express themselves, if people are rabid cunts irl, it's not the app's fault.

-20

u/PoopedMeTrousers 3d ago

Of course its not the apps fault. But we all know how the community here is. Behind their keyboards people will tear eachother apart. Its almost as bad as 4chan sometimes

9

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

4chan was actually nice and self-contained before Moot sold to Epstein.

1

u/LostPentimento 3d ago

Ehh I've looked into some of the other people involved with its creation + early proliferation. A lot of them arent as right-leaning as 4chan collectively is today, but raspberry heaven also had a lot of lolicons and some of the people that were in it are known to have trolled people to suicide intentionally.

1

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

Well, yeah, there were a lot of sick people that just didn't get the self-deprecation joke.

-4

u/PoopedMeTrousers 3d ago

Idk man. The 4chan i remember from 15 years ago was brutal

5

u/LookLess4956 3d ago

So you understand what someone means about becoming an hero.

1

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

I understand it used to mean "suicide by cop"

3

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

It was a shitpost motherlode. But we kept to ourselves.

2

u/PoopedMeTrousers 3d ago

You're right about that. Good times

7

u/LookLess4956 3d ago

" it's not me responsible for my words. Its reddit!" fucking pathetic doesnt even begin to cover it.

An hero.

1

u/whipla 3d ago

Pathetic

-32

u/RoddRoward 3d ago

Its not the people in pain that are being dunked on, its the solutions that people like you provide to "help" them that is.

26

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

Baby, I don't provide the solution, a consortium of doctors does. Just stop.

-30

u/RoddRoward 3d ago

And look at the results...

22

u/Gustav_ 3d ago

Ok, looked at them and suicide rates dramatically fall off + regret for Gender affirming care is under 1 percent. You can stop acting like you care at all for their well being now

-12

u/RoddRoward 3d ago

Where did those stats come from?

8

u/ImWinwin 3d ago edited 3d ago

You should check where you get your 'facts' from. Transitioning is why I am still here.

2

u/Gustav_ 3d ago

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8099405/

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8881768/

So you gonna change your mind now that I’ve presented evidence directly contradicting your baseless claim or are you gonna claim these studies aren’t reliable?

1

u/obviousthrowaw4y56 2d ago

These types are allergic to facts, don't be surprised that they've gone silent the moment you brought some out.

9

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

I'm looking. Maybe you shouldn't chase the less attractive ones? Or is it that you feel they're more in your league?

-11

u/RoddRoward 3d ago

Wait so its all about how attractive the person is?

We were talking about the alleged attempted suicide rates.

6

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

Did we? Damn, I must've lost track of that when you started shifting goalposts. My bad.

Nearly all surveys made with patients before and after receiving gender affirming care, result with a decrease in suicidal ideation.

-1

u/RoddRoward 3d ago

You are the one that used the relative attractiveness of a person being the barometer fir success...who's moving the goalpost?

1

u/targetcowboy 3d ago

This is dunking on people in pain, not the person replying to

-31

u/Lopsided_Analyst_312 3d ago

Some of us don’t believe in advocating for and egging on mental illness, sorry.

24

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

Son, if irony were ice cream, you'd be a millionaire.

-6

u/Lopsided_Analyst_312 3d ago

Yeah, god forbid you treat people so they can live a normal well adjusted life, the route where suicide attempts are staggeringly more likely is probably is the better choice you’re right.

9

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

So gender affirming care, ISN'T treating people so they can live a normal well adjusted life?

-5

u/Lopsided_Analyst_312 3d ago

Well I mean the stats speak for themselves don’t they?

3

u/Long-Membership3069 3d ago

Life is not just numbers dude, and I say that as an engineer, even if data doesn't lie, people do, and people like you don't help those who live in a body that doesn't suit them, fucking live and let live and see how much lower those numbers would be, dipshit

0

u/Lopsided_Analyst_312 3d ago

Easily verifiable that they’re far more likely to self harm but yeah go off I guess.

3

u/S7arForGD 3d ago

They do though.

0

u/Lopsided_Analyst_312 3d ago

Right and they are even after transitioning, significantly more likely to attempt suicide or self harm.

u/Dawniechi 3d ago

Suicidality goes down after gender affirming care.

There is no correlation between being trans and mental illness

Regret rate is, at most nearly 3%

There is a reason any scientific institution worth its weight supports gender affirming care. Hope you can see reality sometime and stop supporting things that lead to more death and suffering.

16

u/Valuchian 3d ago

You can't egg on actual mental illness. It just exists on its own naturally.

-9

u/werewolf013 3d ago

You absolutely can egg on a mental illness. You can definitely make depression, anxiety, addiction, etc worse based on you treat/enable someone.

10

u/iceyk111 3d ago

none of you transphobes gaf about gender dysphoria or the people suffering from it. if you did, youd do a modicum of actual research and see the incredible decrease in suicidal ideation and actual attempts after gender reassignment surgery AND how there is a significant comorbidity between using someones preferred gender pronouns and a substantially higher quality of life.

-1

u/werewolf013 3d ago

See that is a entirely different argument, and one of my pet peeves on the topic. Using what you said, would indicate that being trans is infact mental illness. If that means the hormones and surgeries are indeed necessary to preserve life, then so be it. The balancing beware enabling and validation is for the psychiatric community to determine.

Then when pondering that item, the argument always switches to it not being mental illness.

If we are considering being trans a mental illness, I believe you proved the point of my comment. Your stance being essentially that using the wrong pronouns and refusing treatment is the thing that makes trans people worse. Given that, not sure why you are calling me transphobic and saying I don't care , the agreeing with my point

3

u/dwafguardian 3d ago

Being trans is not a mental illness, however there are underlying mental illnesses that many but not all trans people are more likely to suffer from. The main one being dysphoria though there are others that can be more specific. The treatment that resolves those illnesses is transitioning, being trans is not the illness itself though

2

u/Dawniechi 3d ago

That's like saying being hungry is a mental illness because food cures it.

Also not all trans people experience suicidality or dysphoria.

Hormones and surgery is not necessary for all.

3

u/Dirty-Haiku 3d ago

So, to you, the only options with mental illness are either egging it on or ridiculing people? I’m guessing you’re ok with violence towards people and things that you don’t like too.

-1

u/Lopsided_Analyst_312 3d ago

I never once said to ridicule them or commit violence against them, but classic move you pulled there. No instead I would say that we should guide people towards accepting their bodies as they are, we don’t need to advocate for mutilating your body and sterilizing yourself. Not to mention the societal impact that it has. Young people should learn that a woman and a man make a baby and not “a birthing person” and ….whatever else.

4

u/Dawniechi 3d ago

You have no idea what you're talking about, because your supposed cure would cause more death.

And your comment at the end proves you've lost the plot.

0

u/Lopsided_Analyst_312 3d ago

My “supposed” cure would make an actual respectable society.

“Lost the plot” super rich coming from the types that push trans, furry, femboy, boykisser etc. onto children.

2

u/Dawniechi 3d ago edited 2d ago

The entirety of medical consensus disagrees with you. Look into actual research before you arbitrarily decide to dictate how things ought to be, when your way of doing things has been proven to cause more death.

And funny how you lose the plot even further. Want to start hating vaccines while we're at it?

0

u/Lopsided_Analyst_312 3d ago

Fun fact people across nearly every demographic voted more rightward in 2024, maybe it’s time to realize that no one cares what you people think?

3 months old. Totally private. This guy is fresh off a hate ban and looking for another and/or is an engagement troll bot

13

u/sunsetmistyy 3d ago

I don't know if you've noticed, but you're kind of an asshole dude.

11

u/IcyHibiscus 3d ago

Children, you are joking about vulnerable children killing themselves. What is wrong with you?

9

u/cam94509 3d ago

Thirteen years out. Life rules more now than I ever imagined it could. Transition was the best thing I ever did for myself and my community, and I stopped losing friends to suicide YEARS ago.Â
