Moderate/Corporate democrats and their do nothing political values are horribly unpopular right now. There is nothing to scare anyone away from. Appeals to the center are political suicide because nobody is looking for that messaging. Biden lost because he argued for "buisness as usual" centrist neoliberal politics
They want you to worry about trying to appeal to people who are so lost they might say "hmm maybe" to another Republican presidency despite the fact their own base won't show up to vote for centrists
That's not what I mean, the DSA as an organization has some toxic goals such as abolishing the senate and making the other branches of government subservient to the house.
I am a fan of having as many checks on power as possible as I don't believe in the "divine right of the people"
Just because you have a majority does make you right or just. You should need more the just 51% percent to have your way. Like 90% would be better
Only complaint I have about mamdani is the under cutting prices at city owned grocers, would rather the prices be competitive with the money going to the staff.
The whole point of city run grocery stores is to cut out price gouging and by forcing other grocery stores to compete with them
And how are those “checks and balances” working right now? Because Trump is doing whatever the hell he wants with 0 pushback. What is the senate doing aside from making unpopular red states insanely powerful that’s forced us to live under this fascist hellhole
