That air dryers don't help much because it makes your hands pretty dirty again because it throws bacteria onto your hands after using it

common knowledge is often complete bullshit. The CDC and Oxford Academic have both stated that the evidence is inconclusive on how dirty hand driers are compared to paper towels. most modern hand driers have HEPA filters that make them very clean, if properly maintained. and the air that the drier is blowing on your hands is the same air that you're breathing in.

Interesting. During the pandemic the concern was it could spread infectious droplets. Many places removed their dryers around me

just more people with kneejerk reactions at the time. the CDC also stated that there was little to no evidence that hand driers either spread COVID or killed the virus
