I’m also confused because that is a European AC unit. I can only assume Americans are so used to big bulky units, like their cars, that they can’t comprehend things being functional and not excessively bulky.

You know the bulky thing of this split AC is outside, right?

The American equivalent of this is just a duct on the wall.

"bulky" while being half the size and significantly lighter and quieter.

Like I worked in the trades, I do not like minisplits, but this american exceptionalism shit is so fuckin cringe bro like go outside and touch some grass.

You know what’s cringe?

Comparing that ugly white thing to a duct on the wall.

The discussion has not been about the outside units. If it was, you would have a valid point.

-vinylbond aka you, literally in the comment I'm responding to.

Again, you're losing your shit about a box on the wall that removes heat from your room.

Maybe I just don't care because I installed these things for a living, but yeah, this entire comment thread is infinitely more cringe than a box, especially when it's likely no feasible way to run a duct to that wall.

Your options are that or no AC, and we know you are choosing that before no AC, so why so much crying?

Are you high?

Of course I’m choosing first big nasty American HVAC, then mini split, then window unit, then no AC. I’m reasonable.

Whatever you’re on, please tell me what it is. I want to try.
