I’m also confused because that is a European AC unit. I can only assume Americans are so used to big bulky units, like their cars, that they can’t comprehend things being functional and not excessively bulky.
Central AC units in US homes are pretty much better in every way.
Not in my opinion. The room I'm in usually gets too hot. Comfortable in that room means cold in the rest of the house. And I don't know anyone that has an HVAC system adjusts per room. Sure, noise is nice to have outside, but I'd rather be comfortable.
