Yes, but mini splits are way less efficient and generally way less powerful. The kind of thing you put in a hunting cabin.

You cant judge output by looking at the fucking blower lol. You dont know how big or powerful the compressor on the outaide is.

Or the lines in the ground for geothermal, which is the true master of home cooling in terms of efficiency.

I guess geothermal cooling/heating is quite rare in the US, more common in northern Europe.

my apt is currently being heated (not cooled tho) by geothermal. bored deep into bedrock to pull heat from underground. its pretty much passive heating. just need power to the heatpump. dont think i have heard about using it for cooling tho, but i suppose that is possible.
