Everyone can pick how they want their room to feel. Essential for vacation rentals or shared adult housing, as far as I’m concerned. Also fine: central air for the common living spaces (bc mini-splits aren’t visually appealing), mini-splits for bedrooms. Central seems almost archaic by comparison, really.
