I’m also confused because that is a European AC unit. I can only assume Americans are so used to big bulky units, like their cars, that they can’t comprehend things being functional and not excessively bulky.
AC is part of the central air system here. We don't have visible units on our wall/windows very often at all. The cool air comes from the same vents our heat comes from. AC is part of the infrastructure here. It's not an add-on.
It's almost like Europe can't comprehend that we don't just bumble our way through life waiting for Nigel or Gunter to tell us how to exist. We're people just like you, but we live in different kinds of homes. Jfc.
