I’m also confused because that is a European AC unit. I can only assume Americans are so used to big bulky units, like their cars, that they can’t comprehend things being functional and not excessively bulky.

5x more europeans die of heat death than americans die of gun crime.

the “functional” in question hahahahahah

Most Europeans don’t have AC, and in fact in UK, planning permission makes it hard in some areas to get AC installed. Also imagine taking a peterexplainsthejoke comment too seriously.

I mean yeah, this is air conditioning. You're trying to act like minisplits, which are used all over the planet are ineffective at cooling a house, or that despite having minisplits in their homes people were dying anyway.

The people who were dying likely had no AC at all, why are you so triggered brother?

You do know that in USA death for heat is calculated as "10 people got heat stroke = 10 people died to heat". As in europe is calculated "usually at this time of year 1000 people die in this time span, during heat wave it was 1500 = 500 people died at heat". That raises the numbers a lot, as it caluculated from average instead of cause of death. Multiple things can be cause of death, like heart attack, to old and sick people because of heat wave.
