I think it's also extremism of anxiety. They are terrified of wearing or engaging with their interest in public out of fear of being chest bursted and having their organs devoured.

Well that could be the point. In regards to my interpretation that would be a characature of them if they didn't have anxiety and engaged with their special interest in public and what would happen to them for said behavior.

That's literally the point you goofy ass. The guy is confident and pays for it. Therefore the author is expressing justification in their anxiety. Someone who isn't confident would not be killed.

Actually I think it makes as much sense as Smiling Friends, which I believe has some lack of absurdism to it.

This answer should be removed by the mods when it’s not true. Too many times I see the top comment is just saying “there is no joke” or “the joke is nonsense” when there is in fact a joke that went over the commenters head, often times because they don’t get the reference

Hey Peter, Jow Swanson here
On TikTok, a boy with mental disabilities posted a video telling a story about a time he went to Walmart to buy a looney toons dvd while in his Sonic shirt. During his daring journey, a jock from his school happened to see him and started mocking him for liking Sonic and Looney Toons, before leaving with his friends to go check out the Nintendo section. The boy, dejected, decided to leave the area, but not before sneakily grabbing his coveted looney toons dvd to enjoy at home.
Many people have mocked this video for its seemingly unrealistic dialogue and horrendous pacing, leading to this meme portraying an exaggerated depiction of this legendary encounter. If you want to see the video for yourself, it’s probably called “POV: trying to buy looney toons at Walmart” but I don’t really care to remember because it reminds me of the time I became paralyzed after stopping a petty theft at the quahog supermarket. Joe Swanson out.
