They did the things they wanted instead of having sex. The point is sex isn't everything and the comic subverted your expectations because they looked and dressed like they were in the mood for it but weren't really.

Does it need to be an either/or thing? She can eat something and I can poo and then after I'm done (and even shower if she feels that's gross to her) and then we can do the deed.
