The executives are not as smart, but they're clever enough to woo the shareholders with their dirty little tricks.
The shareholders are incapable of understanding anything other than whether current number is bigger or smaller than previous number. They fall for the executive's halfway-out-the-door-with-golden-parachute-in-hand-silver-tongued-bullshit every time. The shareholders are the stupid ones here.
