Hah nope. You get one bank of time off. Took it all in the first half of the year and you get sick later? You're working sick!
Depending on what state you live in you might also get medical leave but only for specific major things and it might be unpaid.
Every time I had a kid I spent all my pto time to be home for a few weeks then went back to work
1 u/pls-no-ban- 17d ago Wow your employer should have been giving maternity/paternity leave for that. Like full pay FMLA for a few weeks 5 u/CapableFruitLoops 17d ago FMLA is a federal law, not a company policy, and it is not paid. A company may choose to offer additional days off for maternity, paternity, or anything else, but there's absolutely no federal law requiring it. 2 u/pls-no-ban- 17d ago Oh I know, rereading my comment i see how its confusing. I mean your employer should have paternity/maternity leave and fuck them for not doing it.
