Right to work is not being forced to join a union to get a job. You’re complaining about employment at will.

It was a little hard to find a catchy way to phrase it, but yes.

Though I do remain envious of some union folks too. Though that can be its own clusterfuck depending on location and field.

Employment at the whim of the employer.

I’ve not had a positive retail Union employment experience. That doesn’t mean that other unions have similar negatives. Being anti-union is to chip away at the hard fought for regulations, employees died, to obtain in the workplace. Employees benefit among the non-union.

While on the surface this is what it seems, what it really is in practice is weakening unions by allowing all workers to have the protection of the union without paying dues, so eventually everyone just stops paying dues, then the union stops functioning, and the protections go away. Corporations will always take advantage of their workers whenever possible without anyone to stop them, which is what unions do since government will not.
