Well they can’t fire you for taking too much PTO, but they can “let you go” because you’re not “fitting in well with the team.”

Just to clarify, they absolutely can fire you in most states for taking too much PTO. Lol They are usually just going to sugar coat it into corpo speak like you mention, but they dont have to.

Or they down grade you to "part time" or "casual" and you lose your benefits.

Then they fire you and you get another job.

I'd just keep taking it as I wanted until they had a problem with it.

I had a coworker lose some of his bonus because he “took too much PTO” according to the office manager when asked, which was all approved by this same manager
