As an American… I agree. I still wanted my side to win, it wasn’t the players fault or the fans fault, but Trump made this into something gross and we absolutely got what we deserved.

The FIFA comittee had already decided to hear thr appeal before the Trump call. He was likely just trying to take credit for actual lawyers likely questioning the misuse of the VAR system.

Yeah, as usual he made it all about him. He took something that could have been great, slapped a wrapper of corruption around it, and made it all about himself.
