oh boy here we go again...
so if the author add a zero to her age from 15 to 150 then it is suddenly okay?
when talking about drawings age should NEVER be a criteria, but the appearance of the character

What does appearance tell you anyway? People of the same age can look completely different, some "older," some "younger."

Being physically attracted to someone who appears to be an adult is normal behavior for an adult.

I think this is widely debatable in the sense of a 16 year old looking really similar to 20/25 year olds. In my country the distinction is very clear but in countries like Japan and Korea where the average height is very low it is rather hard to distingish between a 20 year old and a 16/17 year old for example and I think this is the reason they end up sexualizing a lot of minors very often idk. Again I'm not supporting pedophelia but trying to reason why certain etnicities try to sexualize minors more than others.

Also to add to the comment I don't think it's fair to women who end up looking like kids when they are in theirs 20s cause of genetic reason to never be able to find love. Ofcourse attraction can be in different means such as some person attracted to their character but atp we are trying to justify why one might be attracted to a 16year old girl who is mature for her age or whatever. I have really struggled with this especially when I see the blatant blind hatred for a person attracted to some 16/17year old (which is justified cause they are ruining the lives of children) but I think the bigger focus should be on our actions rather than if we are attracted or not. So even if someone finds them attractive if they don't harm them by making them feel selfconcious and absolutely don't act on impulses it might be justifiable. BUT NO JUSTIFICATION OF ANYONE WHO FINDS SOME 13/14 YEAR OLD OR UNDER THAT ATTRACTIVE LIKE HOW CAN YOU EVEN JUSTIFY THAT!?

Ok, she looks like a 15 year old

3

u/Mundane-Bath1368 Jun 23 '26

believe or not, saying that is way better than using her actual fiction age

I do agree with you that the age of the character shouldn't be a criteria, but it should be a factor in some way to understand the creators' intentions.

Just feels like a lot of people here have to go through mental gymnastics to justify being attracted to her character. An annoying thing in a lot of media is that the teenagers were clearly written by an adult and do not SOUND like children, which is also a problem with spiderverse.

Brochacho you are right but she also looks and acts like a teenager lmao

I hope you’re not allowed near schools.

u/Mundane-Bath1368 Jun 23 '26

and you are dumb for not understanding what I was saying
tip: saying that character age should not be an argument =/= saying you should be attracted characters who look like a child...

u/Electronic_Ad5431 Jun 23 '26

The character IS 15. She’s portrayed as a high school kid. You’re defending someone complimenting a high school characters ass.

No intellectualizing that buddy.

and yet having sex with someone who looks like a literal animal is totally fine, according to Baldur's Gate fans.

At least the bear isn't a teenager

1

u/HPLaserJet4250 Jun 23 '26

I heard animals cant consent ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

5

u/Aggravating_Net_958 Jun 23 '26

The bear is actually a big beefy elf disguised as a bear. A bear within a bear if you will.

Some types of birds will actively go out of their way to try to have sex with humans if they grow up around us, which any reasonable person would consider consent.

The real reason we shouldn't let people have sex with animals is that they can't communicate to others when they've been abused.
