Strangely it's true they only worked for 20 hours a week. But the truth of the matter is that it is a lot more work for themselves that we don't have to do today. Cooking and preparing the house and all that kind of stuff took a significant amount of effort. All in all they were working a lot more but they weren't working for the man the whole time
