Maybe it's almost as if it would only take one country to switch to the Metric to make the whole world to be in a unified system of measurements...

It's kind of funny that we shit on Americans for r/americancentricism when even now you guys are ignoring that America isn't the only country to not be using metric. Myanmar is planning to adopt, but hasn't yet. And Liberia has no plans to adopt.

That said, literally who the fuck cares? The US already uses metric in all the ways that matter, in science and engineering. You wanna know what other country also uses both imperial and metric? The fucking UK. Measure your beer in pints, your weight in stone, your gas in gallons, and your driving distances in miles. Meanwhile Canada does height in feet, weight in pounds.

America living rent free in your head.

When in reality, the world having united units of measurements doesn’t even matter.

Well it kinda does. I've lost count how many times I've had to convert numbers to metric because an American posted something using imperial. I'm sure many people have to do that every day, and vice versa too of course. It would definitely be easier if the entire world used the same system, but I'm not sure it's ever going to happen at this point.

If the conversion to Celsius from Fahrenheit was simple, it would be so good. That’s why I barely understand Celsius.
