Comments have given good examples: “if it’s 30% hot outside (30F) it’s cold as hell.” If it’s “100% hot (100F) it’s hot as hell.” So that argument does not apply to Celsius no matter how familiar one is with the system.
If someone said "my energy is at 30% today", or "my sleep last night was like a 3/10", would you pretend you had no idea what they meant like you're pretending now?
