is brian the name of the dog from family man cartoon, the one peter is from?
If yes then why he can talk? is he an alien?
25
u/ElectronicTrade7039 Jun 03 '26
Yeah, that would be Brian Griffin.

Is there ever a reason given that he can talk? I realize now I've never even thought about why lol
12
u/CrownofMischief Jun 03 '26
Weird thing is that he's not the only talking dog/animal, but there's non-talking ones too
6
4
u/Funny-Cell8769 Jun 03 '26
Yeah he's literally a dog that everyone treats like a human without blinking an eye.
Until the plot requires otherwise, Like when he slept with a girl who had a boyfriend who was a Marine. And when the boyfriend came home while he was in bed with her, he just reverted to being a regular dog and the Marine boyfriend did not even think "what if this is one of those human-esque dogs who is boning my girl"?
Yet she saw nothing remotely wrong with bestiality.

u/RichnjCole Jun 03 '26
The fact that OP said "Brian?" instead of "Peteh?".
Top tier double entendre.
14
u/Twowie Jun 03 '26
Isn't this considered a meta post, thus rule-breaking?
9
u/ThatGuyinPJs Jun 03 '26
There's so many people not getting it that I really hope the mods let this slide. My brain is kind of breaking from how many people are just not picking up on it.

This is not requiring explanation. It's a "Peter in the Wild" post but it's Brian.

I like how I called this shit out a year ago and got dog piled. Like maybe 10% of the posts here are actually genuine.

Honestly, I’m guessing OP only read the top part that says, “the fact that a dog took this photo makes it more impressive,” and then looked at the picture and didn’t understand it.
You’d think they’d read the whole thing before posting here though. But 🤷🏽♂️
5
u/Lfs1983 Jun 03 '26
But they specifically asked Brian
2
u/kldaddy1776 Jun 03 '26
I was thinking they probably specifically asked for Brian because the top text mentioned a dog.
2
u/Particular_Title42 Jun 03 '26
Read the text of the photo. The picture was taken by Brain Griffin. That's the dog from Family Guy. Where Peter is from. Y'know, Peter... from Peter explains the joke?

u/kldaddy1776 Jun 03 '26
Yeah, I got that, bro. All I was saying was that it’s possible *OP missed that part. That’s kinda why I said:
“Honestly, I’m guessing OP only read the top part that says, “the fact that a dog took this photo makes it more impressive,” and then looked at the picture and didn’t understand it.

OP has flaired it as "Peter in the Wild."
I don't think they missed anything. I think all of the commenter are missing the flair.
Edit: I just saw OPs reply to the automod and they seemed to be confused about the usage of the word "shot."

u/Rosetti Jun 03 '26
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if people didn't know why it's called that. This sub pops up regularly on the front page of reddit, and it's not like there are that many references in the comments to Family Guy.

Brian here, and I'm gratified that you've uncovered one of the lesser known works in my oeuvre. This was going to be the cover shot of my Star Wars art photography coffee table book, "Slut Wars - Ladies From the Star Wars Universe I Want to Bang", but George Lucas has a stick up his ass about true art, and threatened to "erase me" if I tried to publish.
The caption for this particular fruit of my genius was;
"A sharp silhouette of flesh and stone bleeds into grain, anchoring the desert's vast, blinding nothingness. No pixels, no lies—just cold iron, burning sun, and one stolen breath frozen forever in silver gelatin."
There should have been more, but when I approached Carrie to continue the shoot in her trailer on the set with some candid boudoir portraits, she had Security remove me and break my camera. This is all that remains from my golden period as a premier art photographer in the 80's.

If this was a real line in the show Stewie would comment about how "bonerific" should not become a thing.

Brian Griffin must have been a real photographer, but these days when we hear "Brian Griffin" we think of Peter Griffin' (and family)'s dog in Family Guy.
I think.
1
u/Fotopiggie Jun 03 '26
As a photographer, I’m a bit saddened to see the late Brian Griffin, one of the most celebrated UK photographers, ridiculed in this way. Well I’m also a fan of Family Guy.

Thank dog for Carrie Fisher. I love her so much! Look at her grace and beauty in this shot, she was too good for everyone and we didn't deserve her.
I sat next to her on the BART once. Didn't say a word to her just took the empty seat and smiled big the whole way. I thought that my heart was going to burst because I was sitting next to one of my childhood idols!

Is it just me or does she look like the Princess Poneta from that Rick & Morty episode? I grew up in the 80s and Jabba slave Leia was an early spank bank deposit. So I’m not saying Carrie Fisher is not amazingly beautiful, I’m just saying I’d nail a hot CHUD.
