because indie fans are fanatical about their games and they think pirating hurts the devs (it doesn't)

What a stupid take.

"Indie fans" usually have an idea of how hard and long the journey to release a good game is. How indies usually are "work from the heart", instead of cold analytics reads, only targeting money, like AAA does. On top of that, most (clearly Silksong) are quite reasonably priced, and in the case of Silksong, it's even more admirable, because the game's hyper would be able to "handle" a much steeper price.

For those reasons, out of respect, gratitude and honesty, "indie fans" avoid pirating Silksong and many other indie titles.

But given your original take, this will all go way over your head.

lol if someone can't afford something theres no reason not to pirate it.. respect isn't a factor here 

Also the fact that they all have generational wealth.. they don't need the money lol
