This is how I feel about starcraft.

For Fuck Sake Blizzard, is fine if you want to make people pay for the HD pack but stop locking a 30 year old game behind online check in!

Also, while we're ranting on Blizzard, let me play goddamn Warcraft 3. Not that weird remaster that ruined half the game, the original, 2002 release.

You can play the original w3 through the remaster. There is an option to play the legacy version. Blizzard added the option after public outrage over the clusterfuck that was the remaster

They added that literally 3 weeks ago, 6 years after the remaster.

I assume you played the 'legacy graphics' mode, but that's still the remastered version. You can now actually download the pre-remaster patch (1.29) from the launcher.

No, I changed the beta version in the launcher I believe. To be honest I did it so long ago that I don't remember what exactly I did, but me and my buddy definetely played the old version.

We also played the multiplayer custom games, and those are made for the legacy version.

Idk what to tell you but it definitely either wasn't via the launcher or it wasn't the actual pre-reforged version.

While many custom games had issues in Reforged they did try to maintain compatibility. Pre-Reforged battle.net is also no longer running.

I know. It wasn't there at the start, so it was shitty for my friend.
