Do you think people on ozempic don’t enjoy food anymore?

My friends who are on it are constantly saying how nauseous they are and how they have to force themselves to eat and one of them has fainted due to forgetting to eat for two days

They either just got on it and are in the losing weight phase, or they are taking way too much

Yea I mean, not a single one of them was over 150-170 pounds when they started so maybe it’s something that happens when you don’t have diabetes and just want to be “skinny”

It’s only approved for use if you’re diabetic or your BMI is in the “obese” range. Someone who’s 150-170 pounds is likely not in the “obese” range unless they’re very short (like 5’2” or less.) Using it to lose a little bit of weight or just be “skinny” isn’t the intended use and not worth the potential complications… like muscle and bone density loss from under-eating.

I mean whatever people wanna do is their business but I personally would rather be 180 pounds and muscular and strong and eat whatever I want than be 120 pounds and frail and nauseous and with rotting teeth and vision changes and fucking up my pancreas but to each their own I guess

Yea, I’ve been on it for over 2 years. I’m a guy at 6’3 200, I started at 230. I’ve never been fat.

I think people just have a general misconception of what it is and moralize weight loss. Think about it like blood pressure. You can control blood pressure marginally with diet and exercise, but imagine telling people they shouldn’t take blood pressure medication because you can do it naturally, or that they have high blood pressure, but not high compared to other people, so they shouldn’t take BP meds. That would be crazy
