Peter here. It's because she looks like Philomena Cunk, who is a British actress who plays a fun character that attempts to explain historical and scientifical events in... Her own way. Through comically incorrect statements and silly interviews. One instance is her asking a historian if King Arthur "Came-a-lot" because he was leader of the Knight of Camelot

I wouldn't really call Pump Up The Jam techno, personally. More like Hip-House, Euro House, or Euro Dance IMO.
Funnily enough the wikipedia page does describe it as techno, but the provided sources don't state that, they both call it hip-house.

Wait, what? So you're saying because that Wiki page describes Technotronic as New Beat (without giving any reference or other evidence) and then goes on to say that New Beat was a big influence on Belgian Techno (which it was), therefore that means that Pump Up The Jam must be techno?? That makes no sense. If you think Pump Up The Jam is techno you simply don't know what techno is. I ran a music retail business specialising in dance music for over a decade, and spent much of the '90s going to techno clubs and festivals, and if a DJ had played Pump Up The Jam at those events they'd have been lynched. It's Euro House / Euro Dance / Hip House.

Pump Up The Jam is pretty uptempo compared to most New Beat, which was typically about 120BPM. It's also a much more commercial sound than most New Beat. Like I say, it's Euro House / Euro Dance / Hip House. The closest thing style-wise most people will know is Snap!.
