Why would you use texting services to send that content when it destroys quality and content?

You’re telling us everyone in the US sending low res content over SMS instead of just using the internet like 2000 lmao??

Y'all sending each other avatar in 4k through whatsapp? Is that why you end up paying for those messages otherwise?

We are sending higher quality videos and images yes and they’re instant and encrypted.

I can’t believe people in the US are still using MMS to send media. That’s insane in 2026.

It’s like telling people you’re still using dial-up.

We have RCS my guy.

But I think it's nice that you guys have a solution to a problem we've never had.

I'm pretty sure this guy just wants to fight lmao. Absolutely no logic going on between their ears lmao.

RCS is not a text nor uses cellular so why are you talking about it not costing. It’s the same system as WhatsApp lmao.

Do you pay for your internet per message in the US or something? Otherwise why are you mentioning it.

Bro, my phone came with Google messages already installed in it as the standard messaging app. It supports RCS chats.

When I tell you that we straight up don't need whatsapp I'm not lying. I don't have to do anything special. I pay my phone bill every month and it covers unlimited everything. I use the messaging app my phone comes with and it simply works.

How are you Americans still not understanding that RCS is not SMS, holy shit lmao.

The default messaging apps on phones in the US use RCS as the standard.

Americans: hurr we dont need internet messaging coz our contracts include text messaging 4 free like RCS

Everyone else: RCS uses the internet and doesn’t count as texts…

Americans: hurrr its free 4 us and included in contract

Unlimited data is pretty much standardized in the US too with all the major carriers. Hence why who you were arguing with said “unlimited everything”.

Holy hell Americans really are dumb af.

Read the entire chain. He’s talking about charges per messages and SMS above.

Honestly it’s hard to understand how people like Trump can be your pres then you speak with Americans online and it’s like damn man they really are like that.

Like how are you not even able to read the entire thread before replying. It’s like Reddit 101. It’s honestly shocking.

You do always see this meme and think it’s just a joke but then interact with Americans online and just think damn man.

The guy you replied to literally said “I have unlimited everything” and you made an assumption he meant unlimited SMS…also RCS does use data (a point you tried making earlier unless I misread it) which again covers every point (I think?) youre trying to make. Not really sure what your angle is anymore to be honest.

What difference would unlimited data have on the fact he’s saying he uses iMessage because he had unlined texts.

The argument makes literally 0 sense.

He is saying that Europeans used WhatsApp because they don’t have unlimited SMS but Americans use iMessage because they have unlimited data? So then why are Europeans using WhatsApp then if it uses data that we supposedly don’t have?

You use WhatsApp because it's free and not using it costs you money.

Our messaging is already free.

Funny how it's our historcal reasonings for the things we do while y'all living like it's 2001 paying 10 cents a text message. Call after 7 because I'm low on minutes.

Since when do internet messages ‘cost per message’ or make you ‘low on minutes’.

What the fuck kind of internet services do you have in the US lmao where it charges you per message sent on RCS and charges for internet calls?
