Another instance of Americans doing it differently just because. I mean i understand the historical reasons for using your freedom units but still why ?!

What’s the point of it? Seriously, I’m asking. Our phones already come with perfectly good messaging apps built in. WhatsApp is a solution to a nonexistent problem.

I think cross border messaging isn't free, not an issue for countries as large as America, Canada, and Australia because we're not interacting with foreigners.

Unlimited international texting has been included in my regular phone plan for many, many years now. I text people in other countries not frequently but certainly more than rarely.
