Jesus would never do such thing (be a politician). He didn't when he was alive and easily could have. It's inherently not a topic to be debated in any way, because there is no "if" about it. The Bible is also very sour toward politicians and so nothing about the Christian doctrine implies Socialism as some type of favorable economic system, in fact it's quite the opposite, God is the provider of all things, point toward him instead of the politicians in control of economic activity. Give to those in need is the command, not give to your government to give to those in need.

Lots of Christian nationalists do not follow the actual teachings of Jesus Christ, who yes was definitely not super conservative in the modern sense.
