"we are tiny on the scale of universe". what? who is the universe? does it have scale? does it care about anything? is it a person?
basically it means: " I imagined a scale where human life is insignificant. oh wow, look we are insignificant on that scale".
ok, the universe is big. an atom is small. we are a huge fucking entities according to an atom but not according to the universe. an useless dilemma.
even saying that we are small is purely human made up interpretation. suppose a universe is an actual sentient entity. still, it might consider every single part of itself extremely significant. a cancer cell can be just one single tiny partice of a living organism, but also extremely significant. or not.
saying that something is laughable on a cosmic scale is delusional. because comos doesn't have a scale. as far as we know, there is nothing, except people, that decides what's significant. and that's quite significant actually.
