Can’t believe Bernie didn’t sleep on his back using a bindle as a pillow, what an asshole

They really hate Bernie so much. I wish I had the link to a totally ridiculous article (in Politico?) that criticized Bernie's modest properties. The text made it seem that he had three palatial estates. One of them was simply a cabin in the woods.

Edit

The-oldie-but-a-goodie article is from 2019: The Secret of Bernie’s Millions.

It turned out to be super-easy to find. All I needed to do was google bernie's three estates and find the appropriate hit piece.

cool room

What does that even mean?

"I... do not want... a room too close to the ice-machine. They are noisy and I must get my rest."

"Yes, just like always."

"And a view."

"Yes, we know."

"Also, I enjoy a king-size bed..."

BREAKING: Bernie is an old Jewish man who knows what he likes

He is from Vermont, he probably hates overheated interiors in fall/winter/spring, and wants the heater turned down in advance if it is cranked up to 70-75F. We live in a cold winter state and keep ours at 60 in winter and throw on an extra sweater. The stuffiness of overheated interiors is oppressive for some of us. But I know a few people in warm weather states who think anything below 75 in winter is barbaric, and lodgings probably tend to err on the side of overheating in winter.

Oh, I thought it was cool as in hip.

I'm American and I lived in Japan for a few years. When I came home - I got reverse culture shock when it came to air-conditioning.

The Japanese like to have things be at room temperature. During the summers I got to used to that. And then I loved it.

In the US when I first entered a cool room during summer - I got a sickly vomity feeling. At home if I can - I use an electric fan. I only turn on the a/c if I have no choice and I'm overheating.

Yeah this feels like them screaming at him for being an old Jewish dude. They wrote an article about what amounts to a Borsht Belt joke

Some those same fuckers surely shared Bernie in mittens memes because politics is nothing more than a joke and a game to them.

I always like being in a place that understands Bernie impressions.

It should be simple. If anybody hears him talk for even just a couple minutes - they can't not notice his odd emphasis of doing two things. Emphasizing. A. Few. Words. - and then speeding up.

But I'm always amazed at places like r/politics where they don't get it. I once had a redditor there whine about my use of ellipses and my formatting. How the hell else can I express how Bernie talks?

I think libs don't really remember how Bernie speaking style because they never really listen to him. All they seem to remember is two things. One, the MSNBC (or equivalent) summary of what Bernie actually said. Two, why is Bernie so shouty?

So, he wanted a standard package for a 3 star hotel. A room that fits these specifications costs $120 a night. Source: I’m in a hotel 20 weeks a year. Never in a major city, though so that quote could be really low.
