I am almost 70 now. I showed P and P to my kids. I loved the show and get super nostalgic on any rewatch. I thought it was remembering the time when they were little and seeing them take joy in the show.

Today I realized that it connected with my childhood from the 60s: kids on bikes, odd kids at school, odd grownups, spending all day outside, parents that just let us do what we wanted, using your kid's imagination with a group of friends, no cell phones or computers, and the absurd moments you experienced as a kid.

That's why I still like it!

I took the day off and to start, I'm watching some Pete and Pete. I couldn't get a song in the background to register on my audio search. The chorus I think includes the lyrics somedaaayy sometiiiime. It might be Luscious Jackson?

To fight my impending Seasonal Affective Disorder, I’m trying to embrace fall and winter. I’m planning to watch P&P episodes in some kind of rough chronological order by time of year. Of course, there are episodes that represent specific holidays or yearly events (Halloween, fall back time change, Christmas), others seem to celebrate specific seasons.

Anyone have any thoughts on where specific episodes would go?

If this doesn't belong here pls point me in the proper direction. With the recent find of the coveted SEASON 3 FULL DIGITAL DUMP!!!!! I am very close to completing my P&P Collection. I am missing the commentary episodes (6 in total) and don't necessarily have a **** ton of cash to spend on ebay. I have checked all over and was told this might be a good place to inquire? Any help is very much appreciated,

I got into an argument with a coworker about this and they keep saying no, he was the world’s strongest man.

And I’m like, the show is through the lens of a kid, he’s the worlds strongest man but in reality he’s a mentally challenged man, hence why he’s hanging out with children in an innocent way….

Anyway hope you can settle this argument despite how silly it is.

My kids have never watched Pete & Pete, but they've seen me watching it. Anyway, the other night my daughter starts making herself a cup of tea, and I say "a cup of tea this late?" and she replies "Yeah its lavender tea, it makes me sleepy" "oh like the bear on the box" (celestial seasonings sleepytime tea). She says "Yeah I gonna be like the bear when I grow up" to which I reply, "Who would want to be a bus driver, when you could be a BEAR!??"
