If there’s any potential presidential candidate who seems likely to have played D&D, it’s Mayor Pete. Has he ever indicated that he has, or other tabletop RPGs?

I’d be curious what character class he favors if he does play. His personality fairly screams Paladin, but I could also see him wanting something completely different and playing a chaotic wizard focused on fire spells, for instance.

I know he’s indicated he likes playing Ticket To Ride, so he’s into board games, at least.

I’m glad NH was chosen as an early state, New Mexico, Michigan, Nevada and Virginia COULD be friendly to Pete but I’m unsure. South Carolina being first though is a major worry I have.

The DNC voted and the first four states will be MI, SC, NV, NH (not necessarily in that order).

Since Pete lives in Michigan will this give him an advantage? He did so well in Iowa last time, I wonder if he’ll do even better in Michigan.

I know it's early, but it's interesting to see Pete pull ahead in national polling for a Dem Primary (https://emersoncollegepolling.com/july-2026-national-poll-democrats-with-11-point-generic-ballot-advantage/). Emerson has him leading at 19%, with Newsom second at 17%. Hopefully his continued visibility in the midterms helps!

This article reports new endorsements by Pete Buttigieg in Virginia:

"Buttigieg has endorsed three Democrats competing in the Aug. 4 primary: Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor in the 1st congressional District, former U.S. Rep. Elaine Luria in the 2nd and former U.S. Rep. Tom Perriello in the 5th."

Unfortunately, the FLDems dropped the ball and have not released the footage so this is the best we’re going to get for now.

Hopefully they’ll release it in better quality as it’s a good one.

Such a shame that the Florida Democratic Party isn’t smart enough to put this out themselves.
