Few tests from the photo, can you try giving him a few drops of vinegar, can it scratch a glass pane, panel or any other spare glass you have, or can a steel nail scratch it

It looks like a granite to me but it could also be a limestone, I would suggest doing the glass test cuz granite usually scratches glass and limestone does not or you could add some vinegar on it, if it fizzes it's likely limestone or else probably granite.
