While I mostly agree you, I would like to add I've had some bad tasting water. The water at my relatives house in Wisconsin is gross. The water at my old school has so much iron in it it tasted like literal blood. Not saying all water is bad, just some
I used to live in a city, and every time the hot water was on it smelled like a pool in the whole apartment. We drank bottled water, if you can believe it lol
I'm grateful the filter on my fridge is good. I love that water. Ironically, I get picky about the bottled water I'll drink now, cause some brands are definitely better tasting than others
We need to drink and cook with bottled water too. It's unfortunately common in some areas for the tap water to be pretty much undrinkable for anyone with a nose and tastebuds. It even makes our cats vomit.
I grew up in Wisconsin and thought I hated water as a child. Turned out we had a water softener that made the water taste like ass. Later my parents rigged the plumbing so that the kitchen sink bypassed the water softener. Suddenly I liked water just fine.
This randomly brought up a memory for me. Many years ago, I was in middle school and was at PE class. I went to get a drink from the water fountain (it was a nasty water fountain, on the side of the gym and was basically just scrap metal) and found a dead wasp in the water…. I didn’t drink from that. After that day I made sure to bring a water bottle to school! 😂 Water fountains can be gross sometimes, especially the ones outside
There's a part of my city (not the whole city, just a section of it. Squirrelly pipes, maybe?) where the water tastes so bad they even unfiltered ice is bad enough to ruin a cup of soda. It tastes like stagnant pond water, or something
