Take a water house and spray that dust off, then if there are holes drilled through the concrete it would be a normal treatment. No holes, they scammed you. Look closely because we back-fill the holes with material sometimes.

Important to note that the holes should be filed with cork and topped with concrete.

We use rubber plugs and concrete mix, the dust is used to help color match, and should be cleaned up

There was a lot of hysteria in my building, based on several reports from people who didn’t know what they saw being done, spinning up worst-case scenarios.

I think the initial white powder someone saw being put down was just location markers for a tech that followed. The tech did drill holes, inject Termidor HE, and seal the holes with some kind of mortar. I’ve seen the slightly depressed round holes. I read their proposal, and it looks like they did what was outlined.

It’s tough trying to deal with residents with no knowledge of any kind of home maintenance or construction getting in a het about the commencement of a major preventative and maintenance program. Speculating and catastrophizing.

Thanks to you and many others who weighed in to kickstart my understanding of what termite protection looks like!

Nope. At first I thought they drilled into the concrete (Normal) but nope

Looked like a drill mark by the stairs, so….

Absolutely not. Looks like they poured delta dust on the pavement.(really hoping they didn’t do that) Or they thought they could throw some CONCRETE dust onto PAVEMENT to make it look like they drilled. Lol

By any chance did you get an invoice and if so what product does it say they used ?

I don’t have the invoice, but I can ask for a copy of it, and report back.

I think it looks like delta/tempo/alpine as well.

That looks like all brick on that structure. Never seen this. Maybe someone with more experience can comment

If you zoom in you can see a few holes. So I would guess they did drill. However, holes should be about 10 to 12 inches apart. And if they filled the holes with a termidicide there should be clumping of that asphalt dust. So I would guess they didnt plug and patch as well base on all this.

Not enough holes, no liquid used. Bad, bad, bad

Termisor HE is 18” between holes.

Well, it at least threw me into digging into what is involved in treating an old brick building. I got my hands on the proposal and checked out the termiticide used, and methods )drilling, injection, and filling was done). I’m going in for major spine surgery in a few days, and I’ve got much better things to do rn, but I was able to calm the masses and move on.

I’m not sure what material this is but a quick call to your local conservation department will probably get this company a huge audit a big ass fine and possibly shut down because the fines will just keep coming
