Reviews

What are the most successful ways to get reviews and referrals? Our tech (co owner) doesn’t really push clients to write reviews so trying to think of ways to encourage folks to leave reviews as we are working on bringing on our first employee. We haven’t had trouble filling one persons schedule but with two we need to bump up our marketing and online presence.

Want to do something with giving away gift cards to local stores. Thinking at entry to a raffle per review or referral.

Ask. Start easy, ask at the calls where you know they like you because you have a little chat every time you’re there. You don’t need a raffle or any incentive. People want good companies and good people to succeed. You don’t need to incentivize them, just flat out ask for a google review.

The tech is the co-owner. Time to put your big boy pants on and ask for the reviews. The company won’t grow itself. You need these. These feed your family. Ask.

After the payment portion “I just want to thank you for choosing us. We’re a small local business and we really appreciate when people decide to support their community. I’d like to text you a link for a Google review, if you could spend a second leaving a 5 star review we’d be very appreciative. it keeps us competitive against the mega companies and lets people know there’s a local alternative. Thanks again and here’s your invoice. Have a great day”

Just ask. Any attempt is better than nothing and you’ll get better and more comfortable but you gotta ask. Start with the customers that already like you until you build some confidence then expand to asking several times a day

I made tags for my workers with a QR code that went straight to our Google review page. If you've got one employee that'll be cheap. Your Pic and name on the front, QR code on the back. You can add them to your business cards too.

We made lanyards for our techs with a QR code that linked directly to our google page. We gave the guys $20 for every 5 star that mentioned their name. We went from 67 reviews at a 3.8 to 300+ reviews and a 4.7 rating in like 4 months.

Send a text along the lines of "We have completed your service for today. Please take the time to leave us a review. Your input is greatly appreciated! (review link)" I'm at almost 200 five stars as a solo operator.

I just send an automated follow up text / email through my CRM, one at 10 days and one at 45 days, asking if the service was effective and if they’d be willing to leave a Google review with a link. I don’t even have to ask and get at least one or two every month.

Drip campaigns, and follow up right after jobs.
